Help. I need somebody. Not just anybody. I need someone to tell me which tracks sung by a girl (Hang It Out To Dry counts) are the best.

Gotta be: 60s, good and garage

I mean - what beats Denise?

Sounds like you've never been turned on to the greatest GIRL band of all-time...SHE... Here's a link to their cd that Alec and I put together for Ace/Big Beat back in 2004. Sure the DENISE 45 is the best, PLEASURE SEEKERS rule. Luv'd Ones have a few great songs but no girl band has ever put out a cd of all originals that are 80% killer and as cool as SHE. NEVER! SHE were huge in Sacramento. The lead singer Nancy Ross was a good friend of mine and was found dead a couple of years ago. There are 4 unreleased songs sitting in Capitol Records vaults from there earlier band THE HAIREM that have to be heard to be believed. 1966 girl punk at it's finest. If you like '66 STONES with Farfisa and snotty/sultry vocals you will love SHE!!!

yep, SHE (too sad to hear about the death of Nancy Ross, RIP) and the PLEASURE SEEKERS sure candidate too, and I'd like to add two of my all-time fave girl-groups, England's own LIVERBIRDS and Indonesia's DARA PUSPITA!

Joey, do you know if it is the red or yellow label version of Boy...that was on the Ace of Cups cd?

Does anybody that "we" know of own the red label?

I am also partial to the Models' take on "Bend Me Shape Me" although that one sounds like The Models were a front for studio musicians.
