Bought that IA CD Box last year. Thought it was terrific! Nice Booklet and all, but I never gave those CDs too many spins. I guess if you have the first LP Mono and the second Stereo you' ll never need something else. Still, I'm tempted to get this one...

I was actually waiting for mono vinyl of the first two albums. But when I got the above mail from International Artists I sent the money right away. Hopefully I will hold this in my hands round the beginning of August (or so).

Christ, this looks nice!
I am extremely tempted, but £90 (plus whatever the postage is) is a lot of money, and I kind of feel I have everything I need by the Elevators....
What to do yeah. I really don't know, I really don't know what to do

Ah, what the hell, I just preordered - I just couldn't resist.
Boy, am I glad I didn't buy the CD box set!

This set is indeed a thing of beauty. I did get Sign Of The Three Eyed Men when it came out, which is an amazing package in its own right. Admittedly, 90.00 GBP is pretty steep, and that does not include shipping to the US. So, while I am on the fence about this right now, knowing me I'll suck it up and pre-order as well.

But since Charly is lurking behind this we will no doubt be seing titles being sold separately at a later date. Except for that nice acetate looking thingy, it seems.
Perfect mix would be stuffing the new vinyl releases into the nice looking cd-box and chuck the ugly cd's out the window.

I will pre order this asap. Have the cd box already and I've been listening a LOT to it. The sound is really great and the whole package also. I don't think £90 is steep considering what you get. Imagine Shadoks doing this package. It would probably end up costing three times as much...

Good point, Mans. Had not thought about it that way.

I think I'll be getting this as well. I was actually about to post a thread about the new vinyl editions of the single albums that was going to come out this year. Seems like I don't have to worry about that now. Really been getting into Bull of the Woods lately. Took me about 5 years to finally get it. Stacy Sutherland was a genius in his own right.

Thats's just what I have and still I ordered straight away for this one. The hope that for once these albums get rid of the muddy/muffled sound that flaws the original pressings made me shell out again. While it's nice to hold a crisp original with great colors, - but it's the quality of these IA pressings (or was it the mastering) that spoil the fun.

Also, let's hope the amazing "Reverberation" acetate sounds better on the 10" than on the CD. Now THAT would have made for a GREAT Record Store Day 7" instead of putting "may the circle..." on the b-side again...

Can anyone tell me what's on the CD box that's not here, and vice versa? I'm confused.

Yeah, it seems to omit the Live!In Texas cd + the Death in Texas cd. And the Contact Sessions vinyl omits 8 tracks from the cd version. This after a quick glance

Easter is the original stereo mix here, while it's an alternate stereo mix in the cd box. Maybe it's the same case with Psychedelic Sounds aswell... but I'm not sure as I never listen to the stereo mix of that album anyway ;)

This topic needs some scans on a Friday night. Wine at hand, Easter Everywhere on the stereo (in stereo!)

One of the most striking pieces of popular music ever committed to vinyl.

Pressing #2 and #4 in the YGMM hierarchy

I did not see this version in Barrys book with Roky Erikson mention on the bottom...where would this one be amongst the others versions?

Thanks Mike for the info. How difficult is this variation to find? I've had this copy for a long time.
