13th Floor Elevators vinyl boxset, hubba hubba

My copy is safe, sound and playing LOUD at home right now, probably my best buy EVER (at least, that's what I think today ;-) )

My copy arrived yesterday via FedEx; a thing of beauty indeed. Based on what I have spun so far, the vinyl sounds fantastic. This and the Sign Of The Three Eyed Men really should be the last word on the Elevators and definitive proof that they were, and are indeed still, an IMPORTANT band.

I didn't wait a second when I got the message about this release from Burning Shed, because since the CD box I had waited for the vinyl. I thought I might have to buy them one by one.
But this box set is more than I expected, much more. It really is a thing of beauty. It looks, feels and sounds absolutely great. The best "vinyl celebration of the music of the 13th Floor Elevators", as they call it, one could wish for.
I'm still diving deep into this... awesome.. far out!

Burning Shed is sending me replacement copies of the two screwed up records. Send them an e-mail if you want them. As far as this being a very small limited screw up I got a box set in the 1100's and a friend got one in the 1400's so don't fall for that limited rarity first 300 copies b.s. Drop them a line and get replacements.

Just received this after a delivery delay because I've moved. Only just been listening to the mono Easter. I swear, She Lives In A Time Of Her Own scared the living daylights out of me. Never before has the JUG been more powerful. Essential!

I decided to buy this last Wednesday even though I bought the CD version last year.

Anyway, I was blown away by the sheer quality of the package. It really is wonderful and worth the £100 I paid for it.

By the way, my copy was numbered 2875 out of 3000 so stocks are very low now, if not completely SOLD OUT as I write this!

Simply put, the Elevators box is the nicest vinyl reissue I've ever seen. And certainly the nicest I own. It sounds great, looks great, the pressings are excellent. It exudes quality in every regard. I consider it an absolute bargain for the price. Which was around USD $200.00 including shipping.

+ they do indeed exchang the mis-labeled two LPs. Received the new ones on Saturday.

While I dont want to be the one to spit in the wine, but that hologram-outer sleeve (+ the "3D"-LP sleeve reproductions) are beyond CHEESY. Wasnt very fond of the CD-box sleeve either but in retrospect like it a lot more than the vinyl-version (which soundwise surpasses the originals I have heard).

I received my replacements yesterday. Get this, they want you to send back the mislabeled discs. They tell you to re-seal it and write Return to Sender on the package. If I am not mistaken wouldn't this be considered mail fraud? Why would they even want the wrong copies back so they can put them back in somebody else's set?

I finally picked this up for my wife. She's a bigger fan than me. I gotta say, it's pretty fantastic. The version of Reverberation on the 10 inch is maybe the most garage sounding thing I've ever heard from them. AMAZING. Also, I've had several copies of the first two albums over the years (I prefer Easter) but this is the first time I've heard Easter Everywhere in Mono. It sounds pretty incredible to my ears. Nice pressing too. All the original copies of the Stereo version I've had have been kinda cloudy sounding.
