2013 Official Year End Roundup

Well, 2013 ended on a fizzle-out note.
I won, and received my copy of the Rondeus on Magna today. Pretty rare disc, I only knew one other collector who had this, so there can't be too many floating around. The seller graded the A side VG minus and the B side VG.
While I would agree with the visual grade, the disc plays horrendous, with a very bad scuffy hiss throughout the entire A side. The B side has some hiss but for only half of the song. Makes me wonder if the 45 was mastered from an acetate that was played at the time. anyone have a copy? I requested a refund anyway, as it would annoy me to no end, hearing Ffffffffsssstttttfffpp for the whole song!

That's really bad news. The only good thing is....2013 is finally over! Happy New Year.

Wow, thanks Bosshoss!

The mp3 sounds like a weak VG, just for the ticks / pops. But there is no hissy surface noise, so I can safely say the 45 was played with a heavy tracking force back in the day. I'd take the copy that was used for the mp3! If the seller doesn't agree to a refund, I guess I could open a case of "item not as advertised"

An editing disaster!

I don't know how I did it, and unfortunately, I can't un-do it.
I was commenting on peterb's incredible list of maybe 200 45s, meaning to add a comment. But it seems like I must have accidentally edited peter's original listing, instead. Somehow and without meaning to of course, I erased all but 10 of peter's listed 45's. This is the first time I've ever stuffed up someone else's post since the forum began.

I'm very sorry! I hope that peterb may have copied the list from another document, and that it can be retrieved. It was a great list and must have taken a long time to make.

I'm sure it was an accident so I had a little chuckle and so it is .
Before you did that I did get a like from Monster Mike and looking at his list several times I said to myself aha so thats where that went . I'd wager he sniped me more times than anyone else . Kudos to you Mike and as much as I would like to bid more aggresively I did spend every dollar I could last year .
As a Foreign buyer I have to say that some of the people I buy from often couldn't be nicer to deal with .
Particularly Jim Atwood Scott Curran Barry Wickham Erik Lindgren & Graeme Smith , cheers to all of you and of course Happy New Year everybody .

In 2013 I concentrated on West Coast 45s. Here are the highlights.

Sherree Scott, the Queen of Northwest Rockabilly (from Oregon)
I first got the picture insert.

Then I got a VG copy of the 45 & finally a M- copy!

Bobby & the Innkeepers I've already shared. But, it's so good, it deserves a repeat. (from Washington)

I became aware of this next one, when George played me his copy.

Again, I first found a VG copy & then a M- (from Oregon)

The next one was unknown to me & is not in TBM. Maybe the best thing on the label. (from Idaho)

I upgraded this one to an unplayed copy. (from Oregon)
