"60s garage music" versus "pop culture"

I dunno, I'm afraid that if I let my ego die, I will start writing songs like Imagine.
No, Imagine is the opposite: super blown-up ego.
I love John Lennon, although some of the stuff he said and did, is just embarrassing. But that only makes him more loveable for me.

By the way, to write a song like Imagine is not as easy as it might seem. The lyrics are somewhat lame. But NOBODY and I mean NOBODY is able to write a simple but stellar melody like that nowadays.

Except for James Blunt or U2 or Coldplay. Now let's never those three artists again, I'm sorry I did.

You must let go of your ego Lee. Otherwise you might start writing songs like Imagine.

I mean, when you let your ego die, sooner or later your ego will come back. With a warm fuzzy vengeance.

At this point, i think we should probably bring back "The List"
Don Julio, do you still have it?

I'm afraid to ask what "The List" is. I don't remember. You know the old saying -- if you can actually remember anything about acid punk, then you weren't there.

Well it was this long list of some rubbish (who knows what?) that someone (you I thinK) posted on the garagepunk forum about 8 years ago. It annoyed the garagepunk staff no end, so we deliberately kept quoting and re-quoting it, in its entirety. After it had been re-quoted about 10 times, the staff just gave up and left us alone and never bothered us again.

Yeah, I vaguely remember that now. What I'm more interested in is why you think I'm the type of person who would not only save some random internet rubbish from 8 years ago, but have instant access to it, and based on only the vaguest of hints.

Just because I did save the Acid Punk logo from the old forum doesn't mean I've archived every last pixel!

I'm shocked that you don't have it.

Who?
It's hard to tell what makes a good melody. I think it has to do with the perfect twists that give depth to a well-balanced whole. I'm sure none of the clowns you mentioned ever achieved that, but I haven't got the slightest intention to verify this.
