I've read several people on this forum state that '60s jangle folk rock is among their favorite type of music and, without question, it tops the list for me.

What are some of your favorite examples? I'd like to burn a CD of songs I might not be familiar with that fall into this category. My personal favorites are below. Others?
  • Nightcrawlers - You Say
  • Roosters - One Of These Days
  • His Majesty's Coachmen - Where Are You Bound
  • Bees - Leave Me Be
  • Improper Bostonians - How Many Tears
  • Dovers - I Could Be Happy
  • Sound Carnival - I Wish I Could Tell You
  • Jackson Investment Co. - What Can I Say
And the greatest song ever written...
  • Byrds - Feel A Whole Lot Better

Inspired by your thread the first tune I played today after getting in from work....

The Changing Times - 'Cry'

One of my top faves came in the post today

The Nightcrawlers - You Say.

but my top faves are The Intruders - Now That You Know and The Rouges - You Better Look Now.

you can't top that in terms of Jangle.

on my new LP, I have three 12 string laden janglers.

You say is a livin´, walkin´talkin´10!

A personal fave is Disillusioned Younger Generation Who do you think you´re foolin´ and Others My friend the wizard, though the latter might be more pop. I really don´t differentiate that much between pop/folk/jangle garage. It´s all good to me.

Kirkbys - Don't You Want Me No More.
Come on ... even the drumming sounds like Hal Blaine
how close to the Byrds' (Mr Tambourine Man) can you get.

The Zoo – "Sometimes"
The Skeptics – "Ride Child"
Dennis & The Times – "Just If She's There"
Fantastic Dee-Jays – "Love Is Tuff"
The Contents Are – "In Trouble" (don't really know if it's 12 string, but it jangles anyway)
...
And so many more... as for The Byrds, I love most of their songs, but "Everybody's Been Burned" has become my favorite of theirs.

A few more for your consideration

The Heros - Say It With A Smile
The Members - I'll Get By Without You
The Hustlers - Don't Let It Get You Down
The Scarlets - If I Had A Girl
Johnny Diamond And The Royal Five - Thanks A Lot Baby
Michael John And The Exports - Goodbye
Rojay & Faber - Good In This World
Dudley And The Do-Rites - Want To Be Your Lovin Man
The Canadians - You're My Baby
The Young Ones - The Young Ones
Cobras IV - Time Is The Master
The Intercoms - Please Try And Understand
Unknown - All Over The World
The Catamorands - Never Say Goodbye
The Swing Masters - Precious Dreams

Choir - Its Cold Outside
Choir - I'd rather you leave me
Choir - When you were with me (demo version, not the released one)
Had they released these as A sides to three 45s, they would be bigger than the Dovers!

Still some of my favourites:

* The Choir- "It's Cold Outside", "In Love's Shadow" etc.
* The Fantastic Dee-Jays- "Get Away Girl", "Just A Boy" and in fact every single song they did

Maybe it's stretching the term a bit, but The Psychopaths come to my mind as well.

Seems we had the same thought there. I wrote it and then had to do something before getting back to the computer to send the post. Anyway, The Choir are great. "It's cold outside" is in my mind since weeks, although it's been quite a while since I heard it the last time. Probably due to the- cold outside...
