Wow - if nothing else happens with this thing and it stops right now, I already feel like I've been rewarded as much as I could hope for, with your comments Joey and Rich and many other helpful comments and likes from everyone. Thanks very much and very sincerely guys!
Now I have to get straight on and tell you the latest weird and wild happenings.
I have been covering the digital cables that connect the laptop with the Kii speakers. I'm using the long Cat 5 cables that Kii supplied. They are much too long, the cable connecting the 2 speakers is 36 feet long, and the cable connecting the first speaker to the laptop is 24 feet long. But I don't know how to shorten them, so I'm leaving them as they are. Maybe it will prove to be better to have long cables when they are covered with STB? That's true for power cables, so maybe for digital as well? Although it doesn't make sense.
I have covered half of the 36ft cable, and the effect was very beneficial. Then I started covering the 24ft cable connecting the laptop to speaker #1 . I started at the speaker end, and worked my way down the cable towards the laptop. Much more beneficial than the 36ft cable, per foot of cable covered. That makes sense because it feeds the signal to both speakers, while the 36ft cable only feeds the right side.
But when I got to 12ft from the laptop, the effect of covering each foot of cable went beserk suddenly, probably 3 times as much effect per foot. So the best use of the STB when wrapping cables, seems to be close to the laptop. I'll report more as I do more of the cable closer and closer to the laptop.
