I'm sure that I"m not alone when I mention spending hours thumbing through 45's (at one location) and coming up empty handed or grabbing something that really wasn't worth the time investment (typically indicating that it's likely been picked over once or not several times before) .
I mention this because I'm wondering if you all have any 'clues?'
Recently, I've been looking on "market place." I'd think that this would be the last place, but one listing almost gave me hope.
This was a listing of a hodge-podge for $100.00 (1st attatched photo) . Among the various uninteresting things, I enlarge the photo of the only viable 45 and it's of Creation "Making Time." I didn't feel like taking a 40 mile trip if there was nothing else of interest, and so I sent a message to the seller about the other 20 or so 45's. Turns out that the remaining 45's were typical mainstream stuff.
Here's the next listing (next three photos) . You'll see many various record box's with a lot of 45's. Although the John and Yoko 45 isn't of high collectability (no PS) , I'm thinking to myself that because it's still there, this may not have already been picked through by a 'collector.' . Not overly interesting is also a Glass Prism 45, but I wonder if this is a possible sign that there could be a nugget or two in there? I can get all these for $125.
I was curious if anyone else has had luck on marketplace? And, though none of us have a crytaal ball, do you think the photo recorod collection might be wort the risk?
