Bin Laden is dead(and I agree that it's probably no loss - but it's not the death of terrorism), but the hatred lives on. Who's really winning here? Shouldn't people save the cheers for something like Peace, for example? Soldiers and civilians still die in Iraq and Afghanistan - and on many more places. Ya really think this will end with killing bin Laden? It's the game of war and everybody's playing it.

yep, if only all the money spent to shoot that one guy had been used to shut down that "roaches factory" between Lebanon & Egypt...

I think Mark Twain put it very well when he said, ' I have never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure". In other words, "I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice note saying I approved of it.", again, Twain.

And to all you Obama critics: I can't judge if Obama is a good president or not. But he is black. And I think it's an enormous accomplishment for the US American people to have elected a black president. I have great respect for that and I wish him and the American people good luck.

I thought that William Jefferson Clinton was deemed the first "black" president. I'm
not sure exactly what Obama is, but I'd love to vote for an Allen West/Herman Cain
Independent Party ticket in 2012. No White House teleprompters will be necessary.

I'd vote for Allen West/Herman Cain in a second with Condoleeza Rice back in as Secretary of state. J.C. Watts as Homeland Security Czar (whoops...no more Czars thank you) And Colin Powell as....nope, he's a turncoat...Although I'm sure he regreats his vote now.;) And at the Inauguration James Brown, I'm Black and I'm proud playing full blast. Pauli G & Davey B in the house to put things straight. By the way, I wouldn't have started this thread unless I was pretty sure that most guys on here would be glad that bin laden was dead.

Don't forget Star Parker for Education Secretary! I'm releived that Bin Laden seems to be gone now, but
I can say one good thing about him...he had a hand in killing lots and lots of Communists back in the 1980s when we were funding his Mudjadeen fighters. I guess even a broken clock is right twice a day...

How can a guy forget Star? She's got my vote...;)

Good for you. But I doubt that there ever would have been a chance for a black Republican president, if it wasn't for Obama having been elected in the first place. Especially if I look at the audience West and Cain are talking to.

It's great that the world today has one less theocratic psychotic lunatic to deal with.

Now can we send the Navy SEALs in to take out Glenn Beck?

That's something you would expect of a garage punk forum: people living in the Stone Age. Get Primitve!
Would you PLEASE remember that those "communist" soldiers fought for a communist system that collapsed shortly afterwords? Would they have lived one or two years longer they wouldn't even have been communists anymore!
Killing the enemy is a necessity in a war. But did you ever hear about the dignity of a soldier?! Respect for the soldier on the other side? Knowing that the soldier on the other side is just a man being told what to do? Fighting for his own country? A man like you and me?
War itself is a vicious thing. But the loss of respect for the common soldier is devastating.
