Killing the enemy is a necessity in a war. But did you ever hear about the dignity of a soldier?! Respect for the soldier on the other side? Knowing that the soldier on the other side is just a man being told what to do? Fighting for his own country? A man like you and me?
War itself is a vicious thing. But the loss of respect for the common soldier is devastating.

I can totally understand Navy Seals not taking any chances in a hostile situation while feeling that ideally you would want to have a civilized trial. I guess it might be an idea to play that Universal Soldier song a lot until all war becomes unthinkable, but until that ideal day when the hippies will finally have changed the world it will also needed burping sometimes!

Communist dictators are indeed alive and well and watching, they probably own more of your currency than you.

Most of the guys I've met (and that's a lot) who were in garage bands in the 6ts are now Conservatives...Repubs or Libertarians. A lot of the guys I've met who started in Hippie type bands are mostly dems....Food for thought.
