Hey Paul,
I've just been surfin' Youtube again, and I ran across your video for "Time Will Tell". You certainly have captured the 60's sound perfectly!!! Your music is spectacular!
Are any of your 45's or Lp's available on Cd's? I don't have a turntable....
Killer man......keep it up. Looking forward to MORE!!!!!!

Hey Darren,

MAN.. you NEED a turntable... it's what makes life enjoyable.

Regardless, I am glad you enjoyed my songs.... tell ya what... PM me and send me your email address.

I will email you all my 45 sides including the new one which will be released at the end of this month also.

Paul

That video is really great. You certainly have a knack for the style, not only sound-wise. Your sleeves look awesome. I've got the "Time Will Tell" 45, too. It's displayed on my record shelf since months.

Awwwww Axel, thanks man.

My favourite 45 of mine, is Lost and Found, I love the design I made or that sleeve and I especially love that 13 o clock were able to provide a paper sleeve similar to old 60s pic sleeves.... this paper sleeve has been used for The Flight Reaction 45s too, it's such a great authentic touch, I was glad Brian from the label looked into the request.

The Videos are ok... as for the style thing, I don't intentionally set out to be smartly dressed... I think if anything my age is catching up with me now and I am too lazy to dress the part now... I think there comes a point whereby the fad ideal ends?? I dunno??

I am making a promo video for my new single next week, I am sure I will wear something quite cool, but it's not a priority anymore.

I'm just glad folks dig the music and love the sounds I create.

Paul

Thanks so much Paul! Very kind of you to send your tunes my way! I sent you an email with my address in it. I'm looking forward to hearing them!

I'll have to check out YouTube again then... I was looking up Green Pajamas (Seattle) and Slow Poisoner (of San Francisco) footage there awhile ago if anybody wants to try some extra nutritional entertainment for a sagging mojo (or disinterested bladder).

It's cool to know there is fresh vinyl in the future to get excited about. Thank you Paul! :) Long live vinyl!

I dunno how to upload Youtube video's here... the above is the best I can do until someone explains or shows me how to make it work properly.

Paul x

Wow, who dosed the honey? Fun in the sun, and great threads too! I saw the ad someplace for a May 7th release date so I put in my order, hopefully it'll make it here before the new Ugly Things or first Flashback. Okay, got to put the BBC Alice with Shankar soundtrack on now... real gone.:)

Hey Becca,

Wow thanks for your response, glad you liked it... also THANKS for purchasing the record all the way from Limey-ville, I think the US will be getting copies this week Becca, so I am sorry if you spent much of postage for this record.

The b-side of this 45 is more in keeping with my vibes, it's a moody psyche number whereby me and Jess sound something akin to The San Francisco scene of early 67.... the a-side I've been told sounds very British Acid Folk, which I guess, I can hear... although with 'Sunflower' I was just trying to make a summer sounding record, it's actually the only song I've written whereby the subject matter has not related to my personal life in what so ever.

this quick sourjourn into the realms of psych maybe short lived, as I am heading back into the garage to work on my follow up LP which so far sounds totally teenage and tragic.

Myself and Jessica may write some more songs together as I kinda like her own band The Hall Of Mirrors, check them out becca they have a great symphonic psych pop sound.

Hey Becca,
also THANKS for purchasing the record all the way from Limey-ville, I think the US will be getting copies this week Becca, so I am sorry if you spent much of postage for this record.

Postage is getting crazy everywhere these days, I saw some other State 7"s of interest too but I had to catch up on a couple of Acid-Jazz EPs and am always getting the latest U.K. mags (Uncut and Record Collector have been unusually good lately) Looking forward to hearing that b-side! I'll investigate The Hall Of Mirrors soon.

So, I was at my local record shop recently, and saw a 7" by Paul Messis - Stuck In Society/The World Is Square. I thought to myself, I think that dude is on G45, I should pick this up.

Man, I'm glad I did! This is the best new garage record I have heard in years! Although, to be honest, after hearing so many lame garage bands in the 90's and 00's, I pretty much stopped buying new garage records. It looks like this one is a few years old - was it your 1st? Pretty amazing, if so.

I wish Tee And Thee Crumpets had recorded more, or if they did I've missed out. Doesn't Chris Wallace post here too sometimes?

Get everything Paul does I say. :)

Paul - excellent music!!! I am unemployed these days so I can't buy anything at this time but You have really got that sound down!

Thanks Jeff, glad you liked what I did.... I've been working on a small side-project 'The Market Squares' in Nashville and will be returning to the UK to re-commence work on my second LP, so 2013 should be a good year for releases from me.

Paul thanks for the records. Excellent work. Turn the freaking vocals up...lol. love you. xx

I feel the vocal thing may be a mastering error Gavin, the vocal mix however is so typically FENTON, I like it somewhat lower, it hides my flaws as a singer haha

Managed to listen to the album some more yesterday, without disturbances, it is near faultless Paul. Except I wish you'd let your "flawed" vocals sit there high in the mix. A vocal flaw turned up loud is no longer a flaw but a heartfelt yearning plea of angst ....Oooohh and the feedback needed some more attitude if you know what I mean... but really I am picking it is flipping tremendous.:D

I promise to send what I promised when I get some freedom to pack it up... and well err sort through the cluster fuck of vinyl I have going here. I found 3 tracks, I copied to put on my iPod thing on my computer, and I have no fucking idea when I recorded them or where the discs ended up... and errr who the artist were. Sad realisation that your "collection" has become a disorganised hoarding hell hole.
