Love this thread! Can anyone tell me if this is the correct sleeve? Early 1967 I guess, but opinions seem to differ.

The correct sleeve for the time period is the arrows with the phonograph ad depicted.
45 sleeves dot com isn't truly accurate, either. Lots of wrong info, just like you encounter on discogs and 45cat.
Mercury promos were not issued in company sleeves, at least from my historical evidence - when I visited radio station 45rpm libraries to buy whatever the station management no longer wanted years ago, I always paid attention to what sleeves matched with the 45s as most were untouched since the date they were marked as received (ink library type date stamp on the sleeves).
Columbia, Epic, Date, Okeh ('60s) were always found in green thick sleeves, as were Mercury, Phillips...some 45s were issued in promo paper sleeves or promotional picture sleeves, from Columbia especially during the '65-67 time frame.. RCA was a major label that issued promos and stock pressings in their thin paper company sleeves, ditto for Capitol, Tower, ABC-Paramount / ABC...
I hvr no idea if "Shame" was ever issued with that sleeve, but it makes little difference in my eyes. If the shoe fits, wear it. It matches the label and it looks great!Resurrecting this thread after a couple of years. Could a wise man here confirm, that this is the correct label sleeve for "Shame"? Seems odd that none of the many reported sales on popsike had the sleeve, though this site indicates both belong together.
