Released at the same time as the second installment Of "Last Of the Garage Punk Unknowns " are two stellar records from great Connecticut bands - The Squires & TYME. The Squires is a stunning full color gatefold LP with the usual top quality mastering & dead silent sufaces. Included are both sides of the Rogues 45 along with demos & live sides and a free bonus 7" that is worth the price of admission alone.

TYME is a top two-sider with a blistering take on the Chris Kenner fave "Land Of 1000 Dances" and a great folktinged B-side housed in a beautiful sleeve. The sound of teen America circa 1967. Two great releases from one of the small and underappreciated states.

A "home state flag waver" from Connecticut -

The Squires LP contains amazing liner notes by Ned (as well as a great interview with Squires leader Michael Bouyea). Who better to write the liner notes than our own Ned who actually witnessed the band play "Going All The Way" live at a Squires gig in the mid '60s! :yikes:

The inner sleeve is also packed with newspaper clippings and a further fact-filled rundown by Professor Moptopmike.

Inside the package is a bonus 45 containing both sides of their mid 60s monster.

This is the way it should be done!

The original Crypt release of Going All the Way with the Squires was a work of art too. I'll be keeping it for the nice booklet and for what remains the only vinyl appearance of Rink Bash!

Very much enjoyed these two Crypt releases. Hey Connecticut, yeah. Tyme rockets off the turntable, please turn down to 11 and The Squires release, especially with the liner notes, gatefold, bonus 7", must have. Along with the four Last of the Garage Punk Unknowns, Crypt is killing it this year and the next twenty. Thank you.

Man, I just got the "The Squires" with the bonus 45. I'm so freakin happy. I was happy just to get the 45, but the whole lp of stuff is amazing and filled with screams from the singer. "The Original" on side two is worth the purchase. What a killer song with two guitar solos, drum break, and screams. That song rips. Great job Crypt.
