Everytime I hear this song, I throw up in disgust

As a follow on note, for Lee's convenience as well as for any other interested parties, the good folks at P-Vine were kind enough to enclose lyrics with PLP 345.

Lee, on the off chance that you ever tire of your fave take solace in the fact that a whole world of post Poo Pah Doo awaits. Much as you may love the standard bearer of Jessie's ouvre, keep to mind that there's lots more for you to discover. Why Holler, Get In Touch w/ Oogsey Moo, Scoop Scoobie Doobie, Sweet Jelly Roll & Popcorn Pop Pop. Soon you'll be remarking Oh Me, Oh My...

Here is the 409 version by the way. What I like about it is the tempo and the rather excellent vocals. The 45 also has a fantastic sound.

I own this because of the absolutely stunning flip of course. But I´d rather have a passable version of Born in Chicago on the b side than an abysmal ballad or Summertime

I dig the 409 version of "Born in Chicago" muchly! Makes me wanna go out and DANCE!

I basically agree with you David, but not all versions are bad. "PJ Murphy Quintet" do a killer version if I remember correctly. It was on an old forum comp. Bluto's Revenge I think.
