Everytime I hear this song, I throw up in disgust

An unlikely bid for best "Land of a Thousand Dances," but one that deserves serious consideration, is Nino Tempo and April Stevens' version on Atco. I played it on the radio last night, from their mono LP, and it has one of the doomiest, throbbing bass lines you will ever hear! Additionally, they made a Scopitone of it - !!!

Unfortunately the sound on youtube doesn't convey a fraction of the power of the vinyl, but check it out. As a garage band member once said on the back cover of an LP I forget the name of, it's like "mixing pleasure with pleasure..."

I like dancing and and would dance a thousand times to most any version except this one. The bass is cool though but can't rescue my will to get off the dance floor and go get a drink.
Each to their own.

anyway, heres the only Hey Joe worth bothering with ;)

The Cups are Ok a few times but too much for me ears.

Gotta be a few pre Hendrix versions worth a play before he wan/orked on it? The Leaves, The Swamp Rats... or the Surfaris ....best version??
