Foolish People: clueless ebay record sellers

If ebay had some genius folks working there, someone would have discovered an opportunity to generate more $$$ by forcing sellers who relist any item more than twice (without lowering the asking price or minimum bid by at least 25%) to pay a much higher listing fee as a penalty.

Spectacular idea. These are the eBay equivalent of frivilous lawsuits.
It'll probably never happen though, because they're too busy finding new ways to make the site less navigable and more confusing.

Not as much clueless as just an outright crook. Les Harris has a new user ID, newbies be warned. Do not buy from this man. Unless you collect G- 45s instead of g45s of course, then he will have you set for life.

Learned my lesson years ago about Les...bought a M- cardboard EP sleeve. Arrived with dark mold stains all over back of the cover. Contacted him, he said he stood by his grading, since then I've seen him open no less than 5 different accounts on ebay, fortunately the idiot doesn't change his way of typing his auctions. NEVER AGAIN

Thanks for the pic Mr. Segment, the badge looks like it was taken at Austin?

Biggest idiot of them all...Gotta be the 70's boot...Look at how many people have looked at the item. That tells me it's been up a long, long time.

And if you look in the 3rd picture at the positioning of the seam in the shrink wrap, it's obviously a reseal.
Plus this gem:

2. Only one copy with Original Alexander's Store Label Exist.

Whenever you find a record graded as above, it identifies a seller who has no idea what he/she is doing.
These are people who are more concerned with getting the most dollars at any cost, and that is why you always encounter over-graded record descriptions within posted auctions.
That said, I would translate that description to mean a play-worn record with numerous surface scuffs, and plays with moderate background noise, then bid accordingly if still interested.
If won, and the record grades better than the noted translation, it would be considered a bonus.

yes, I too have noticed a startling increase in cases of what ophthalmologists describe as vinylopia or the so called "record blindness." It is characterized largely by the inability to distinguish "mint minus" from "totally trashed." Sadly, there is no cure.
