G45 Ebay Watch

Well I think some more copies will pop up in the near future. The last one that sold a couple of months I was bidding and lost it by a split second literally. 800 seems a bit steep, taking into consideration the last copy went for 300 and change. But who knows.
Anybody knows about quantity on this record?

The family of one band member sold 7 or 8 copies. This one must be from another relative who needs cash. They are trying to get top dollar, but folks who can afford to pay that price already own a copy.

That seems like quite a lot. I'm just glad someone outbid me on the Rogues "put you down". It's been on my list for a while but I didn't really wanna go over four so my bid of four fifty was weighing on me a little. Congrats to whoever got it, great record. Gotta say, I didn't think prices like this were still attainable in this economy.

If he intends to boot this he will go in the hole another grand or so and try to shop his product. I dunno though, I wouldn't buy any of them. I bought one and that was enough to turn me off.

Not seen this much at all. If at all. Even our eBay Watch host only came in third. That means three people needs to win this before I get a shot! Damn.By then I'll be an old man.

Mr. Splendid - You are referring to the price paid for the Drones, correct?
That was till a bargain price, both in '96, and today.

As for the Finnicum 45, it is by far the rarest Ruff label single. May not be musically better than the Page Boys, but I only knew of one other copy, from the Kesteloo collection. Never saw another until the ebay auction. Price was very reasonable, would go for more in a better economy - I would have bid higher!

Mike - I was referring to the Finnicum . I remember Bill had it on his list of killers that he took to the Allentown show . The Kesteloo Finnicum resides in Berlin , unfortunately not at my place .

I'll have to check that Allentown '96 list from Bill N. I certainly would have jumped at the opportunity to buy Finnicum! The memory of twenty guys crowding around Bill's table jostling for position thru the "table stock" boxes and viewing the typed out listing of the "rare garage" 45s is still quite vivid. Ditto Bill showing me the wad of dollar bills at the end of the show!

Just out of interest what has happened to Shakesomeaction? The G45 Ebay watch was mainly his project but he's not posted for months and months....

Pops Resale is a lousy grader, and overprices his records anyway. no one will buy this copy.

According to Collectors Frenzy, the same copy sold in Sept and one from last Dec looks suspiciously the same. Looks like we have some shill action and/or it's in Frisbee condition. I can't imagine this would cost more than $75

Here are some discs I got last month...

The Midknights - Pain / Why (Style) the label is worn and there is some writing but this record sounds LOUD!
