G45 Ebay Watch

Somebody's a lot poorer today. 2900. (Shipping was free.)

I also love that the dude's wearing latex gloves.

I also love that this seems to be the only record this seller has sold on eBay (at least according to his feedback).

Crazy!!!!

I saw a copy of Dennis and the Times "Flight Patterns" on eBay within the past week, but can't seem to find it now...anyone know how much it went for?

The only price that's crazy is the Quests. The Park Avenue Playground was cheap in that condition. The others are all fair prices. I bought the Rooks and I'm really happy with it, it was about $80 less than what Plummer paid for it some years ago (I recognized the writing on the label). There's another Half Pint for $2000 on which the seller has refused several offers, presumably in the 1500 range.

Are you referring to any one record in particular, or just in general?

The Quest's in particular, but the market prices generally. The other records may have gone for a fair market price, but the market's gone crazy with prices going up 1,000 - 2,000% in the last 10 years. Although even that is hit and miss.

And prices will not be going down in the forseeable future, except for the weak pop 'mod' records and common/mediocre stuff. Most of the buyers are in their 20s and 30s which means they have not really reached maximum disposable income levels yet. Even stuff like the Paragons "Abba" while it may be falling out of favor with the mod DJ crowd there will be many people who will in turn want the record for nostalgia reasons.
