Did I ever tell you the story of the Count trying to play Bill Paquin and me against each other for a copy he had and how we turned the tables on him at the Cranford show?

He used to burn incense at shows which would always end up giving me a splitting head ache by the time I got done looking at his records.

I got my contribution to the Norton acetate series (the so-called Wombats) from him for $35. He had it labeled as heavy fuzz psych. It was probably the one time I didn't need to chisel down the price on him.

The first times I saw him were at the old NYC Prince George Hotel shows where his whole table would be filled with overpriced common classic rock bootlegs (like CSNY Wooden Nickel for $60; $5 anyone else). He used to wear a wizard's cap along with his tie-tyed pajamas, and scream through his megaphone.

7. A P/S (no record) for The Benders - Can't Tame Me/Got Me Down on Big Sound sold for $404.45.
8. A VG++ (w/VG++ P/S) copy of The Spacemen - Same Old Grind/Run For Your Life on Big Sound sold for $364.00.
9. A VG++ (w/VG++ P/S) copy of The Readymen - Shortnin' Bread/Surfer Blues on Bangar sold for $355.00.
10. A copy of The Swinging Machine - Do You Have To Ask?/Comin' On Back Home on S.P.Q.R. sold for $350.00.
11. A VG copy of The Fortune Seekers - Why I Cry/Break Loose on Trident sold for $308.00.
12. A VG copy of Lyn & the Invaders - Secretly/Boy Is Gone on Fenton sold for $306.43.
13. An EX copy of The Raven - Calamity Jane/Now She's Gone on Rust sold for $299.99.

Wow, didn't notice this auction. And now I see why, it was a BIN. Nice price. Actually almost the exact same price it sold for approx 10 years ago, which I think is the last time a "new" copy popped up on eBay with sleeve

Yeah, I didn't see it until after it was sold, either. I would have had a hard time letting that one pass me by.

I see a picture sleeve for the Ladds' UA 45 "Survival/I Found The Girl" went for around $186. No vinyl include.

A rare Canuck g45 ended 3 days ago. Media on HMS in VG condition sold for $1,025.00 to a certain CA collector and dealer of shiny little discs.

Here's some info on the group, courtesy of the seller (can't remember if this info was priorly known or not):

Only 500 were pressed and only a handful were sold at dances only, never any outlet! This group was out of Victoria British Columbia in the mid 60s ,and after having no success they went under 3 or 4 other names. After 4 failed attempts they separated and never regrouped! After much research I found one of the original members of Media, Ted Kyte who wrote and played guitar on the A side "Endless Dream" ( listen on youtube) he gave me all the info behind this awesome band
