anyone got any favourite original release compilations?

Baltimores Teen Beat A Go Go springs to mind as something very special, aswell as The Best Of Twist-a-Rama.there are numerous Battle Of The Band LP`s i`m unfamiliar with. any recommendations?

I have this album too, I actually like Muggsie by M.I.5, who were good friends of Peter Retcher and his band.

This is a cheaper way to hear the Five Canadians two best songs, Never alone and Writing on the wall. Never alone has a slight mastering skip but it´s not annoying.

Another personal fave is the Robinson Crusoe boy scout camp lp (I think that is it´s name, it´s in the cave, relying on memory here) It´s got a fantastic ramshackle version of Love is a beautiful thing courtesy of young teenage group Kaleidoscope plus the added bonus of hearing a children choir singing House of the rising sun
