Garagepunk.com for sale...

Does anyone with that kinda moolah really care anymore, if they ever did?

The original GP forum was the gold that should have been saved. So much information and conversation, both informative, and hilarious. Gone.
Such is the nature of the digital domain.

i kinda always felt sorry for jeff to have the garage punk website on his chest. as mtm indicated, the old forums were great. back then, i was mostly checking the "modern garage" forum and only now& then checking the 60s board, but i remember it as a very vital place. after the big split, things were never the same.

I don't really understand why it's a problem to keep it going. Forums such as these are very little bother or expense to maintain. They run by themselves.

If I get too busy, or too burned out to contribute to this forum, I simply take a break. It's usually still here when I come back to it.

And when you return we're still disagreeing about American politics:wtf:

It was mainly interesting because of the conflict aspect. The modern garage forum full of garage/grunge/psychobilly/hardcore guys with a minimal appreciation of 60s garage except for BFTG, vs. purists in the 60s forum. And the fact that it was heavily moderated and censored encouraged rebellion.
