Happy Snaps

Looks like ShyC will be handling the letter "B" scans, and Gregor will of course take care of "G". That's A,B,C, and G taken. Only 22 letters left.
Thanks to everyone who has taken on a "letter" so far. It will mean the job gets done a lot sooner. I will put up instructions for the format here when we're ready to go.

Normally I would volunteer for something like this, it would be enjoyable, but I'm currently working from home fulltime on something similar (although nothing to do with 60s garage), so I am pretty much at my limit of sitting at a compter doing work that requires atention to detail on thousands of files.

And here are four versions of The Saints & Violet Tong (aka Tang Hui Li) EP. The second track on each side is a winner. I originally thought the singer was Wong Li. Top left is the first copy I had on Eagle TK1031. Next is a pirate on Fisherman Records. Bottom left is another Eagle version with a slightly different sleeve and then a version with a completly different sleeve.

Wooly Bully 4

I've got four records of Nancy Sit doing the song, but they are all the same version. The two records on the right seem to be pirates of the two on the left, although one has a totally different sleeve. I also include the lyrics from record four

Here are some general instructions for the file name format. I try to keep the names simple for compatibility with older systems. If anyone has suggestions for improvements or alternatives, please let me know.

FORMAT:
Artist-SongTitle.jpg

No blank spaces between words. No "The" in the Artist name, but ok to use "The" within the song title. Always use "&" for the artist name, even if the label says "And The". No punctuation, except "&". Only letters A-Z and a-z, numbers 0-9, &, and the "-" (hyphen) character to separate artist and title. Use a capital letter for each new word. Use .jpg (lower case).

Here are examples :

The Byrds - "Mr. Tambourine Man" = Byrds-MrTambourineMan.jpg
Lyrics - "So What!!" = Lyrics-SoWhat.jpg
5 AM's - "Be My Baby" = 5AMs-BeMyBaby.jpg
Jim Edgar & The Roadrunners - "Apartment #9" = JimEdgar&Roadrunners-Apartment9.jpg
Vance Charles And The Sonics - "My Soul" = VanceCharles&Sonics-MySoul.jpg
Thirteenth Floor Elevators - "You're Gonna Miss Me" = ThirteenthFloorElevators-YoureGonnaMissMe.jpg

If the filename gets ridiculously long (more than 50 characters), trim some words from the title.

Google recommends hyphens instead of underscore, however either should be OK: https://developers.google.com/style/filenames

I'll do any letter with relatively few scans. If I complete that one, I'll take on another.

That's great Chis. Could you do "H" ? It's not too big and contains lots of killers. Huns, Human Expression, Hysterics...

I changed the format as per your suggestion, to hyphen instead of underscore. Looks nicer and is one less keystroke.
