How Unknown Can You Go?

Is this a retake of "I'll wait and see" by the Down & Out, or a cover by a different band?

Yes to the former, and no to the latter. The first version (Kave-In demo) was recorded for a radio promo spot for the final of the 1965 Sound Spectacular, sponsored by 4BC in November 1965. Soundtrack Productions (first Brisbane rock/pop record label) made overtures to record them for a commercial release in March 1966. So they got to rearrange it a little and got to record it for a 45.

Damn, I'm sure I never saw head or tail of said CDs! Are there any left?
My favorite:

I guess I should release the best 12 tracks on lp one of these days or the best 24 (double lp gatefold) I'd need to do a kickstarter for that....NOT!

You mean from "Up From the Grave"? Definitely! That comp is MAGIC! (Maybe the best 18 on one LP...?)

But are there really any songs that can be excluded...? I don't remember any lame stuff on there.
