How Unknown Can You Go?

"Competition closes in about 60 days."

See how sneaky that "about" was? Everybody thinks it's closing in 60 days, but no. It's "about" 60 days.

Six days, "about" 60 days, 6 months ... doesn't matter. This contest will be officially over when I post my final two.

Not to throw a wrench into the rules, but I think it would be cool and more of a contest if all the songs are averaged per each contestant.
That way, it would force each contestant to strive for their best and not slack off....

I second that. Also, 10 should be the limit, not 6.

Hello Outside_Lookin_In, is there a chance that this 2nd entry of yours will ever see the light of release? That would be awesome! :tiphat::tiphat::tiphat::tiphat::sunny:

I was gonna save this for the cd but it's too cool and original not to include it. Same band that did Liphold Matron and recorded live at the same cheapo studio in 1966. It's about Spaghetti Westerns. The lead break was suppossed to sound like the guitar in Spaghetti Westerns but came across more as Middle Eastern psych. More Turkey than Italy. The band said no way, they hadn't even heard of psych yet. Keep in mind, I'm saving these files as low bit rate mp3s with added gaps and they will sound better when released.

It's certainly my intention. Even if that doesn't eventuate, we can maybe do some cdr swaps down the line... (You obviously have good taste, btw:D)

Hey, thanks! That's very kind! I'd gladly come back to that someday. A release would be cool though... Are you thinking of releasing it yourself or thinking of a certain label to give it to? This should definitely be made available to the public... it's already a classic in my book :p!

I'd be happy for a reputable label to do it (e.g. Big Beat), but there is a tonne of stuff which needs to be reproduced in decent quality.

Good effort, but like Liphold Matron suffers from "home studio" sounding recording. I give it a 4.
