Ok thanks. If Dave Brown = Dave negativeFX, they are in contact with each other (never knew Dave’s last name). Thanks!Dave Brown. He put out Crude PA (including liner notes) and a whole lotta other crucial records.
But since you mentioned "Dave Negative FX" some of you should have the contact info.
ASSURED BY LICENSOR ; DRUMMER WAYNE SAKEWICZ, ( CANDID, CO-OPERATIVE, OF CRISP INTELLECT AND SOUND MIND ), THOUGH IT DOES NOT COMPORT WITH "GROOP THEORY", WAYNE ASSURES US THAT THEY WERE NEVER CALLED [ The GROOP ], AND ALWAYS CALLED [ ADaM & The EViLs ]... HE WAS IN THE BAND FROM ITS INCEPTION TO THE VERY END, B.T.W. SO WE WENT WITH THAT, BECAUSE HE SEEMED TO BE A MAN OF HIS WORD. HE ALSO VERIFIED THAT THE OTHER, SCRIBBLED ON ACETATE WE USED FOR TRANSFERS WAS THE VERY COPY THAT ONCE BELONGED TO HIM. AFTER A & E'S BROKE UP, LATE '66, HE JOINED THE THE ONE WAY STREET BAND, WITH GARY BENNETT, LEAD GUITAR. THEN JOINED THE ARMY IN JUNE 1967I have the acetate but mine has a label affixed to the audiodisc. I contacted Birdman to let him know. The credit is by the GROOP. Title is "Don't Wait". Perhaps their name changed afterward? Dave B. contacted me when he found the Nomads "Point Five" acetate in the early '90s and said he found a member. According to my notes I dug out, the guy mentoned a few other groups he knew of at that time, one being the Groop and that they recorded a few songs.
Why crossing the writing credits?Embarrassingly, I am one of the few here that does do social media (much respect to those that do not).
Wish I had something more informative to contribute, but thought I'd provide a screen capture of something that appeared.
I noticed that too. After searching the internet a little more, it appears that the A-side provides a song writing credit, but the B-side is marked out (this is also shown on the bandcamp page as well). Unsure why though. Why crossing the writing credits?
I see, possibly printing error I guessI noticed that too. After searching the internet a little more, it appears that the A-side provides a song writing credit, but the B-side is marked out (this is also shown on the bandcamp page as well). Unsure why though.
Crude PA names the whole band (Nomads) as composers of "Point Five". "I Need Your Energy" is credited to (Richard Scott) Ayers tho'.The writer credit as printed on the label was not correct. It was "Assumed" and printed as such. The correct credit is Ayers for "Point Five". The same guy who was int he Nomads, and then the One Way Street Band (Romain label 45).
Good to have that sorted out. From "Catalog of Copyright Entries, Third Series. Part 5: Music Jan-June 1967: Vol 21 No 1 Sec 1-2":

No.Good to have that sorted out.
Hmmm, did the A&E record that first then?
... Speaking for MOJO-BONE Rekkids. we did not " assume " that Mr Brazas, wrote "Point five", we were informed of such, erroneously, as we spread the word far and wide, that we sought information regarding these recordings.. Brazas credit was redacted when we learned of our mistake, too late to reprint the labels, already at pressing plant. The writer credit as printed on the label was not correct. It was "Assumed" and printed as such. The correct credit is Ayers for "Point Five". The same guy who was int he Nomads, and then the One Way Street Band (Romain label 45).
