Any new Merrick 45 lists coming in the first quarter of
2017? I was lucky enough to actually get something
nice last time so I'm keyed (or 'stoked'...for all the
Californians in the audience).

He is now listing the sale list leftovers on ebay, check seller dr-punk.
I have no idea if he is going to post the 45s that are supposedly in boxes he has not gotten around to yet.
I think he dealt a good amount of 45s privately or is keeping them for himself.

Thanks Mike. Nobody tell me nuffin'.

I wonder what became of the owner of the records - if he managed to get enough money from the record sales to afford the treatment he needed, or if he even survived his ailment.

There is only one small box of 45s left, and last time I enquired Marek said it was still in the USA. I don't know if it will ever see the light of day, or even if it contains anything of interest.
It's a shame the whole deal did not work out the way I hoped it would. But at least everyone got a chance. I estimate 75 percent of the collection made it to the g45central supermarket. The rest went to Marek's friends and associates, and quite a few crazy rare items to Marek himself. One in particular that I want and he won't part with :( The collection owner (Peter B.) is apparently doing ok and recovering reasonably well from the stroke.

Good news about Peter's recovery. Glad I was able to score at least one great Huey Meaux-related 45 that didn't show up in quantity following the SugarHill bust.

Frank 'Rank your choices from my eye-straining cut-up method xeroxed auction list, front me some dough, get a partial fill back with a check for the difference with a note on fill rationale' Merrick? He certainly can source 45s.

What year was it exactly that the Crazy Cajun vinyl flood started? Which rare title did you get if I may ask? It sure wasn't the Phycle/Psycle. How rare is the Loafers?

It was the Barry & Life 'Top-Less Girl' (Pic 1) 45. A tough one that was not found in quantity in Meaux's personal stash. Seems like the Crazy Cajun 'LP onslaught' peaked in the '80s sometime. Some of them are pretty entertaining...I rate the Joey Long albums myself (flaky stuff with a real edge). I don't remember a quantity on the Loafers, but I was lucky enough to get one of the three remaining copies of The Passions
'Lively One' single. Right place...right time.

Bob still has a wall of those Crazy Cajun LPs at his warehouse here is Houston (sales every 1st saturday of the month) - you could probably roof a house with all the freddy fender wasted days 45s!
