INSANE epic history of The Rysing Suns/Rysing Sun

Most of the time whenever we dig into the back story behind our fave 60's punk/garage/teenbeat/private press rockers, the music ends up being a'lot wilder than the circumstances which produced it.

The Dundalk, Md. (east Baltimore area) band The Rysing Suns were a huge exception to the rule. Their story's got it all, it seems almost like it should be a fake urban legend, but it's all true.

CRIME, vandalism, chaotic proto-FALL/P.I.L.-predicting experimental rock'n'roll, a borderline psychotic classically trained violinist, bikers/leather clad bullies, horny girls, a giant high school brawl, MORE CRIME, a pudding fueled creative dispute that almost ended in DEATH... Only the origins of Choc. Watchband, 5 Canadians, and The Bad Roads can hold a candle to the Suns' 5 part teen rock legend which is now appearing up at Splice Today. Fascinating stuff. Thanks for posting. Mention of Rosedale, MD reminded me of many
visits there to enjoy the best (only?) authentic chicken mole enchiladas in the State.
