So besides the fantastic Bosshoss Fenton & Orlyn comps, the Sundazed Dunwich and USA packages and also some of the Ace comps covering California labels like Scorpio and Hush. Probably more I am not thinking of off hand, Hideout etc.

What other labels had enough garage stuff to compile great compilations? I think a comp of the Portage Michigan based Phalanx label is seriously overdue. I know people have tried to contact/license them over the years with no luck. Any others come to mind that have not already been tackled?

I'd like to see a comp combining two great labels from Texas: Mark VII & Pharaoh
or
Paris Tower (Florida)

My (in Arkansas) needs to be done up right (will be forthcoming on vinyl!) Skoop / Showboat from Indiana; Top Dog/Boss (from Kentucky); JCP, Studio City; Century Custom (that would be an interesting comp!)

Great news about the My vinyl comp!

There are only 6 songs, unless you count the decent rockabilly sounding throwback tunes cut by the label owner

I *could* have been dreaming this, but wasn't Joey talking about a Tennalaga 10" a few years ago? That would be perfect.

What about Cha Cha?
Surely there are enough great sides there to fill up an entire comp?

Norton had a Cha Cha comp scheduled years ago. I think it's in legal limbo.

The My sides were compiled on a private CD by an Arkansas Historical Society (or something like that) around 10 years ago.

Norton was supposed to do the Cha Cha comp, but that one got tied up with legalities.

I sent Billy a bunch of unreleased stuff from tapes years ago for the CHA CHA comp but it's still on hold. One of the unreleased songs by the END called Strange Ways is mind blowing snotty punk of the highest order. Billy told me the comp would be called Strange Ways: The Cha Cha Records Story or something close to that. I also sent him the KID FROM CINCY from master tapes. ;)

I found the owner of Tennalaga a few years back and I also located one of the EXPRESSIONS who sent me 2 really cool shots of the band. The label owner said go for it but he never came up with the tapes or memorabilia that he says is in his daughters house in Florida. I'd still do it if I can get Mikey and Mark to burn me copies offa their clean 45s. I could design a cover from the EXPRESSIONS 8X10'S.
