yup. don't think emi or any of the big labels doing anything there. pity no big label never signed the dynamics .

Puyai Lee is cool by the way. It's available on this excellent Thai CD comp:

Hello - I am the person who recorded this song in the mid '60's with a group called the "Sonics". Yes, we were all students together in Bangkok, Thailand. The song (a Thai folk song) was rearranged using "Green Onions". The Thai language and lyrics to Puyai Lee fit very well with the Green Onions melody Glad you like it ! -LEK

You mentioned "small world" -- do you know any of the members of the Sonics ? They were very popular in Bangkok in the 60's.

Wow, how cool is that!!!!

I do not know anything about this group -- probably after my time ! They are Thai and are able to add a little more flair to the language in their version of the song.quote="pfft, post: 11614"]Louise, do you know anything about this band?

They do a cool, more up-tempo version of Puuyai Lee (downloadable from the link above), although I prefer yours![/quote]

I just found this yesterday. Pretty cool

There's another one which seems to be a news item about her and the song, if anyone out there understands Thai
