Been some weeks of semi-wants walking my way.

Sorry for the blurry image, in celebration of buying Bottom of it all I picked up their first 45 which I think is pretty cool. No biggie but certainly enjoyable.

Esteemed forum member swap-a-thon resulted in the next 45 which I think is one of the coolest new sounds I´ve heard this year. Surprisingly low feedback when the audio was posted a while back.

The PNW project continues. Inspired in it´s entirety by Rich S. marvelous forum freebie once upon time. What a striking label design!

After many years of me ignoring it, it finally decided to seek me. A bonafide classic.

One of the best soul tunes of the entire 60s. King and Gates down, the remaining 2 to follow. This may be my favorite take on this song.

You're too kind...

And it was a good trade. Especially for me... that Attila record isn't even in the book I got in exchange... must not be any good. ;)

@Vinyl01 = PB & Stanchmen is a great find. I interviewed Bruce Porter who produced that, and PB, is Bruce Porter- he had a girly club in Hornell, NY and also ran on a ticket in the 60's for Mayor of Hornell! (Free Beer & Girls... nice platform...!) Anyways, I only found a cracked copy in all my years in NYS, so your find is a terrific find IMO!

According to ''garage hangover'' site PB is Paul Beecher and not Bruce Porter. Who is correct?

I think Porter is exaggerating - he may have produced their 45, but Paul was the leader and song writer in the group. Also the band is called "P.B. & the Staunchmen" on the contract with Don Costa I have posted - with no mention of Porter in it.

A couple years ago I sold my copy to a certain DJ, only to buy it back the next year!

After one of the most nerve-wrecking transactions I've had on eBay, it arrived 2 months after I'd paid. Apparently, shipping registered is not an easy task to some people. Won it surprisingly cheap, but maybe the world is not ready for The Volt Rush Band yet? Fantastic, or fuzztastic, little platter! (It's on YouTube if you haven't heard it)

Next one is not a garage record either, but thrilled to find another cool disc on the Markus label. Not the riff-o-rama of Junction, but a tuff biker'ish rock sound still. Does anyone know about any other cool releases on this label?

Mail finds today...

Found this buried in a 30 record $6 buy-it-now lot while doing my regular "Starday" search on ebay. Had never heard of it prior. Decently clean copy. A few other 45s were keepers from the lot including the Lonzo and Oscar record on Starday that drew my attention in the first place.

A bit more expensive, but a scarce west Texas rocker and a looooooong time want even though I'd never heard nor seen it. Even at this late date the ghost of Buddy Holly was still holding a tight reign over west Texiteens.

one of my faves!

Finally landed a M- copy of this as well. Was where I should have looked in the first place, Manship. Anyone know if this is the first release of this song? Sounds much more primitive. Fabulous Denos under another name?
