Might thy aural newbies tickle my eye

Love that Dudley and the Do-Rites 45. Got a nice bouncy pop feel. And fwiw, Carlsbad had a VERY active scene in the 1960s. It's well documented on a webspot put together by Carlsbad High alumni. And there is a second 45 from Carlsbad… a bit more psych-poppy, but not as good as this one.

The Continentals was mine in the beginning. I had a copy, had just auctioned off a skipping copy, and then found an upgrade. I decided to sell off my original copy and right near the close of the auction I cracked the upgrade in a tragic filing accident. I sat on the cracked copy and and eventually was able to mint up at which point I sent the cracked one to OnTheRoadSouth who did not have a copy. He's since come into 1 or 2 copies in his travels.

thanks westex for that story and info on the kavern disc. On the road south is doing a good job eh??!!! also turning up christopher and the souls copy

Plus a M- copy of this sleeve. I've had a Norwegian pressing but always thought the US looked great. No pinholes or other nastiness.

If anyone have more Groovies/Stones/Stooges wannabe45s from the 70s I'm always up for a deal!

Thanks for the warning Peter ! I will add another $ 50 to my bids from now on , knowing that you're on the prowl again ;) Funny thing about the seller - he doesn't own a recordplayer right now ! But he was specifically looking for this record , that's how he turned up those two copies , so I doubt he'll ever sell the other one .

I´m Always on the prowl Christian, Always. No need to add any extra $ though, you´re way way ahead financially, you rich rich german madman:sneaky:

11 years back I went to an annual local charity garage sale and scored a choice pile of records, but afterwards traveled around the area a bit a scored copies of "Primitive" by the Groupies and the Spades on Zero in a junk shop up north.

This year's garage sale was this weekend. I was thinking I wasn't going to really find anything and then right near the end of digging...

30 cents.

There are now two known copies of Glenvalley 103 here in town, living just 3 blocks away from each other.

Part of the smallish quantity that turned up(10 - 20? anyone knows for sure?)... not cheap (duh) but I still got a good deal ;)

We here at The Official Quantity Find Office have yet to ascertain wether or not the actual number of copies were more than the 13 first hinted at. But 13 seems few, given the number of aquintances now possessing a copy.

I saw three for sale at the WFMU fair in the summer, don't think any of them sold.

Do you remember the asking price? I think many copies have done a tour of the US/Europe before being sold
