Might thy aural newbies tickle my eye

What is the Starlite 5? Just by looking at it I know I want it. Great looking label!

How many Orlyns do you own? I remember many a moon ago you were about to score Try-Angle, did it happen?

I would KILL for a copy of that TRY-ANGLE 45... to me that is the PINNACLE of Michigan garage 45s.

Here are my recent purchases

Obvious The Choir is a known 45 and anyone who has a vested interest in Garage music must own... it's taken me a while to obtain this purely cos I have always looked for harder to find stuff.

Tommy Faia is a pretty cool folk-rock 45... both sides are pretty interesting

The Group Called Eve is a pretty killer folk-punk 45 and would recommend anyone who is a fan of jangle to get it!

I'm pretty sure you know the Starlites , but got thrown by the spelling on the label . It's on TS 7 , Kinda Kinksy I'd say .
I did get the Try-Angle back then . I'm now up to 6 Orlyns , plus a crappy one I picked up not knowing better . I was tempted by the Savoys offered this weekend , but there seems to be quantity on this , so I need to find out how many .

Ouch, and I've listened to that particular volume so many times...anyhoot. Always been half-jokingly/half serious about collecting all the 45s in the Teenage Shutdown series. A project for the future.

Trying to posta a coupla pic's but it doesn't work?!? I use imageshack and I've tried both image URL's that the site generates. Anyone knows a better host site? Or tricks to make it work?
Just got The Wee Four - Weird for $12 buy-it-now ;)

After a long drought these two bigtime wants arrived in the last couple of days . Every week should be like this ! The b-side of the Corals - Love You Baby - is pretty good as well .

Love rolling through my hood while blasting "Red Eyed Glasses" at top volume in the Mustang. The kick drum is

That record is The Starlites..I believe they mistakenly printed it as Starliters...So the copies I've seen all have the 'R' kind of rubbed out, lol!! I love the record, although several folks I have spoken to think it's a bit repetitive.

Local Rorchester seller listed it(Wee Four). The kinda seller who has about 99.99% bargain bin crap from the 80's, all for the same price. I went through all his 45s and he had no other local 60's 45s at all - just crappy Survivor 45s etc.
The copy isn't mint - it's vg with no marks that can be felt. Plays just fine with no noise or ticks. Works for me ;)
PS Frank - I haven't been asked to bring any records to Oslo, but if you'd like to have me in the dj booth for 30 minutes or so I can bring a box of faves. Just lemme know. Looking forward to seeing all of you in Oslo!
Now if I could only get that imageshack thing to work...

I haven't bought a lot of 45s for quite a long time. But here are some scans of cool n great stuff I've picked up over the last months... Imageshack doesn't work for me... the pictures don't come up in the posts... click the links for some more label pornography

...one of those that 'slip through the cracks' in the track flow, when I listen to it on BFTG, but grows a LOT once played on it's own on 45. What a (non!) production. Love it

I actually prefer this Stonsey rendition to the more well known 'Empty Heart' (great version though)

2 siders don't get much better on my planet

I don't really collect Swedish 60's beat, but sometimes I just must, like when I recently found this absolutely great r&b punker. The vinyl is stone mint and that's just something you never see with records like these.

Pretty insane version, earlier than The Girls. Check it out on youtube. Love the seasick string arrangement and the primitive farty fuzz sound in the break.

But how the hell do you do to make it show up? Haha! Either I have some setting on the computer that puts a stop to it(possible) or I am a digital analphabet (also possible) :O

You push the little green tree and paste in the url. If that doesn't work you have to get rid of all the silverfish in your computer;)

I have Jailbait also.... It's funny I too feel it works better as a 45 than on BFTG.

I have been looking for The Heathens for a while myself... I really dig 'Problems'... it's a personal fave!!

I am still green with envy.... God Damn 'Weird' for $12.... damn!
