Might thy aural newbies tickle my eye

I don't get how to insert images? I've tried with imageshack but can't get it...

I just right-click on the image, go to Properties and copy the URL into the box that pops up when you push the little tree. But I don't use Imageshack, can't imagine it would be much different?

It works.

The code you are using doesn't work, you have to right-click and copy. Just tested both, different URLs

Worked it out! Finally... Here's a nice pristine copy of one of the Machine's best:

And speaking of KBD - here's one of my all time faves - recently scored in beautiful condition for less than $10 :)

totally been diggin' some of the reissues on Last Laugh alot lately also, especially all the killer New Orleans KBD punk groups - the Skinnies, the Normals, and the Shit Dogs.
Nice score on the Detention 7" Mans! "Why Couldn't it have been Barry Manilow" - HA!

It has been a good start this year so far. Knockin one record off my regional want list The Scavengers on Suemi. Also got The Playboys of Edinburg, while the label is shit, it plays loud.

ok, kbd opens up a whole new bragging field. here's three very welcome recent additions to the household, one of which was kindly sponsored by a good forum soul:

Here's one I found last week which is a decent, if not lightweight, beat/British Invasion style thing.

Anyone have any info on this??????
Same publishing company from Buffalo NY, and label design, as a matter of fact, that Bruce Porter & The Bell Hops Lee Records (Rockabilly) and PB & Staunchmen (Mean Willy) & The Acendors (I Won't Be Home) also on Lee Records.

wouldnt most of us? wont happen until you have 600 and A LOT of change.

Well, you have the Victims. Personally I think this is one of the greatest 45s from the entire punk era. I also need this bad. Regret not buying earlier, the price has only gone one way the last 5 years.

Thanks to a great friend, the last, most noteworthy, is the Nocturnes - Slightly Delightful sans cover. Anyone have an extra? It might be the same one that was mentioned in a thread discussion by IncaJoe back in 2008. Is there a trail of breadcrumbs that might lead back to the cover?! Who's holdin' out?! Come on, hand it over! It's like peanut butter without the jelly, oreos without the stuffing, garage without the fuzz...

We've been saving up for a trip to Ireland this March which has seriously curtailed my record buying. These are the three records I've "splurged" on this month. Actually... these are the only three records I've bought this month.

Rather ticked to have spent $25 on this record in a round of record room wheelin' dealin' here at Casa Westex. Bought it thinking "When am I going to see another, and at what price?" The answer? The next week in a Tefteller list on ebay with a closing price of $22 and in faaaaaaaaaaaaaaar better shape. These are the same guys that C.L. Milburn had 2 releases on on his Souled Out of Texas label, fwiw.

$5 grab on ebay. Nice folkie, psych-ish sorta thing. Enjoyable. Connected to the guy that released the Strings of Fortune records on Ohn-J?

PRIMITIVE rockabilly sorta thing from '67. Unknown? This fact that this label was putting out the stuff it was puttin' out in '67 amazes me. Lots of Johnny Cash sorta' thumpers and just weird outta tune 'What-In The-Hell?" sorta stuff. The drawer KKK thing on Belle releases kinda bug me...

Jim Morrison and Sid Vicious
John Belushi and John Bonham

Were weak! WEAK WEAK!
Couldn't take it at the peak

I rarely buy "physical" new releases. For whatever reason I've taken to just buying mp3s of newer stuff from the 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s and listening via my iPhone hooked up to the car or home stereo. I made an exception this week and bought the JC & Company lp that was recently mentioned here....

Very 'lite' overall... breezy Autumn Saturday afternoon vibes. "Setting & Sun", which opens side 2, is the most rockin' song on the disc and really, really really good.

Went to a record fair today, no high hopes but came home with a few surprises. The 45s were all M-, also the Mighty Baby lp (cover a VG++ still in shrink) All from a guy who´s got a pretty amazing beat/garage/psych collection. Liquidating 30 years of collecting and everything only for sale at fairs, not on eBay. Though off-gassing from pvc sleeves have done damage to a lot of it. The horror! These were ok though.

The Travel Agency was a M- mailbox find from the seller on eBay that´s got quantity of this. Though it is pretty dirty so a VPI is mandatory. It´s full of that grease some old 45s have.

ouch! finger cut off both on sleeve and poster. still way more than you'd find at the lame old-sweaty-guys-gatherings they call record fairs here these days...

I know, but it was only $25 which is less than a new lp in Norway & I try to stay away from becoming obsessive about lp´s.

I hope to be getting the EVIL 45 soon, can't wait... I also am hoping the Ray Hummel III is cool too... apparently they are recordings he made at Chess studios.

I have been crazily buying 45s over the last couple of months.... it's been somewhat maddening.

I may post photographs soon, if I can figure out how to do this on here.
