You don't need imageshack to post photos here. This forum actually hosts photos... When you reply to a message you have the option of uploading a file directly from your computer to the site.

How? When I click the little 'tree' I only get the option to insert image url...

Step #1: Hit the reply button
Step #2: When the text box comes up look directly to the right of the post reply button... the button that says "Upload A File". Click this button.
Step #3: I'm working from a Mac so it immediately brings up the 'finder'. I can't recall how it worked with a PC at this point. Likely the same... just a file download doomaflitchey.
Step #4: It'll allow you the option of inserting as a thumbnail or full image. Everyone sees the thumbnail, but only logged in members can click on it for a full view. If you insert it as a full image it will appear as a full image only to logged in members. For folks logged in it is a thumbnail.

A few hundred new 45s at a local haunt turned into a boon for ol' Westex...

Rockabilly...

Never really expected to find these, but managed them along with 8 or 9 other singles on the Pep label including Buck's two straight country 45s. Nice!

This bit o' Alabama Byrds-iness was found inches away...

And last but definitely not least...

HUGE want. Surprised as hell to see this thing here in Odessa, Texas. Great James Brown-influenced funky soul by some Chicanos from up north of Amarillo, Texas. I had just added M- copies of the other two 45s on the label back in early March so it was super cool to see this pop up. Amazing... absolutely amazing.

I'd guess this above bunch set me back about $5 or $6. And certainly not a horrible way to spend a spring afternoon.

A want of mine for sometime, just never have been able to get myself to go all in on a copy. Their first record, "Bacardi", was such a hit on KELP that the group took off for Clovis to see about a session with Norman Petty which did not materialize. After returning to Hellpaso they went into local country station KHEY and recorded "Side-Swiped". Excellent record and one of the best surf 45s out of El Chuco.

Congrats on the Celtics as well... still need to redo their piece on LoneStarStomp and add that great photo of the group I got from the lead vocalist/guitarists son.
