Maybe a little off topic here, but this is a name some of you should know. Mike Vraney was the founder of Something Weird Video & a key player in the rediscovery of 1955 - 1970 exploitation films. He dug up our beloved "Blast Off Girls". Some of us can remember Mike from the days he built a web of fiends taping vintage movies & TV shows throughout the US with him as the center of activity. Anybody else remember getting box loads of trades (some of mine used to come in cereal boxes) of low budget crime, horror & si-fi movies along with TV shows like Highway Patrol , Sea Hunt, San Francisco Beat and Thriller from Mike?
He was very active in the West Coast music scene in the mid to late 70s & was the one time manager of the Dead Kennedys. A good friend & a great guy with incredible drive & passion, Mike has passed on from complications with lung cancer.
