Does anyone have these on file that they can share,

Teen Blast USA Vol 2
IGL Rock Story Part 2 (Arf Arf)
Sixties Rebellion Vol 12,15,16

Thanks

Gee, I guess asking for files for comps that are not home made is a no no, sorry I asked

I hear you, I bought many comps over the years and lost them all in a storage mishap. I was replacing alot of them from files uploaded on various music blogs. It just seemed easier and faster than buying them again.

Go to ebay find the item you want, click buy it now. Voila! Easy as hell;) Much easier than asking us to go locate the lps/cds you want, then recording them and then getting you the files. Effort is a two way street.

How come everyone who asks for free MP3 downloads of full albums/CDs has a sob story along the lines of:

All of my collection was destroyed when a U.F.O. crash landed on my house burning everything except me. (or)
My simpleton brother ate all of my albums to feed his vinyl habit.

thanks chas, I didn't think I was asking much and it is the truth, I lost all my comps, also family photos and other things that can't be replaced
by the way I 'm a follower of garaga hangover and enjoy it and have downloaded a whole wack of mp3's from your site :)

There is a huge difference in downloading obscure/unknown/out of print stuff vs. requesting free downloads of stuff that's readily available and cheap to boot. We've got guys on this board who spend 100's & 1000's of dollars for just one 45. So spending $10-$15 on a cd loaded with rare songs is a no brainer. This is one of the cooler forums I've seen because there seems to be a lot more givers than takers. And that's a good thing in this day and age;)

I basically agree with Joey, but I don't believe the Teen Blast or Sixties Rebellion comps were legit, licensed comps (unlike the IGL series). They're good comps, but if they're unlicensed boots, then I don't see the reason to give Ludzil grief for requesting them. Why should he have to give some pirate money for a comp that won't benefit the musicians, songwriters or producers? I will never buy an unlicensed comp for that reason.
On the other hand, I buy as much legitimate issue stuff as I can afford.

Easy...Ludzil said and I quote "It just seemed easier and faster than buying them again." Sure it's easier for him but the person who dubs the songs for him ends up doing most of the work. So add up the amount of effort to ask for the songs, get someone to record them, upload the songs, download the songs, burn the songs, would not be easier. Go to Ebay click a few buttons and wait for them to arrive. Maybe I'm wrong, but time is money in my world.;)

True enough that.

just to explain further, when I asked for these comps, I didn't expect someone to take the cd and upload it and all that, just wondered if anyone had them already on rapidshare or mediafire that could have sent the link over, enough said, lets move on :)

Whenever you get on a high horse about the entitlement generation, I have to think about all the CD and cassette trading over the years. What was that - "research"?

The key word there is TRADING. That means we offered something in return. That's not entitlement.
Entitlement is asking for something for nothing and expecting it without a fuss. Big difference.

LUdzil, if you offered a trade, you might get a more positive response.

G45 is like Fightclub man... what ever happens in G45 stays in G45.... you dig!!!

Common sense must prevail, you're amidst some of the biggest collectors of the very records which compiled these comps, downloading and getting the sounds for free is a big deal in these pastures dude... sorry to hear your storage woes, I'd probably cry if my stuff got wrecked.

on another note, re- requiring services..... anyone got any "company sleeves" for sale?? I have bitten the bullet, all my 45s are being ordered, into genre, country and company sleeve, non-company sleeves are going to be going in plain brown paper sleeves.

I need 8 soma sleeves alone, I've ordered a bunch of RCA VICTOR, BELL/MALA/AMY and Columbia already.... baring in mind, this is only US garage and psychedelia so far, I haven't even taken count of the 'soul' 'doo-wop' and 'R&B' section yet.

it's gonna be a hard and arduous task.

last night I sorted my 70s and 80s punk (UK, US and AUS) into alphabetical order and put into plastic sleeves.... it took 4 hours.
