new comp out

Speaking of re-issued comps:
Monsters Of The Midwest vols. 2 & 3 have both recently been reissued on vinyl - both (almost) exact replicas and available at a nice price.
Essential stuff!
I wish they could make a vinyl reissue of the cassette-only vol. 1 as well.

Just got Volume 2 a few weeks ago to go along with my originals of vols. 3 and 4. I really like this series a lot and, I agree, it would be nice to see an LP reissue of thie first volume. Grab these while you can as the price is right.

MTMs tastes in soul and teen beat are rather spotless, but his tirades against sequenced, "track flow" thought out compilations is unbelievable. And this from a DJ too.
I bet when you're DJ-ing, sequencing is very important. Every comp should be like a DJ set OR a great tape compilation.

I quite agree with MTM on the "flow/sequencing" on comps, for me comps are a way of documenting music history on any genre and or region. Comps are in a way educational, at least for me, there couldn't have been another way for me to quite understand the vast array of 60's garage. Listening to each track individually its what matters. And for future generations helps that at least have some interesting liner notes.
