NEW COMP: REVENGE '66 lim. edn (300) 60s garage LP

The G45 folk will be elated to know that the release of this piece of dogshit (as Greg Prevost would say) sent Mr. Warren over the edge (again).
Green light has now been given for at least one new volume of Teenage Shutdown via my mailbox. Will start pulling the ordered 45s. Hard to believe we had a basic track listing for the last 10 years!
Summit meeting of the team is planned in the secret bunker location for mastering in late Dec. / Early Jan.
Now the people who care abvout packaging, good sound, and correct info (us) and the people who don't will be able to hear some top-shelf sides on vinyl. Wait til you see the cover photo of the Classics (The mysterious cats who primal-bash away on their only single, "I'm Hurtin" on the Amway label)

This is great. From what I understand the rights of the songs on the "moody" vol were secured a long time ago,
but the project was shelved. Anyhow, this is SUPA news!

Well, this certantly made MY morning! :D

CAN'T WAIT!

I can't take anything you say seriously when I see your massive tits wearing those little red ribbons.

Gee, I wonder why you're attacking ME?

Great news, Mike (and Tim). And DON'T stop at one...

Good news, Mike!
That's EXACTLY what has to be done.
If the guys in charge (and with the right sources) don't do it the market is occupied by fake. People want it and people get it. And if the REAL thing isn't offered they go for the lame stuff.
Thumbs up for the project!!

The above comp is outrageous. I never saw so much question marks on a record (or anywhere else). As if those people actually wanted to SHOW how little they care.

More good news:

During the Summer I was asked by someone via email to put them in touch with Gerry Blake and Greg Likens from The Avengers as he wanted to produce an official re-issue of 'Be A Cave Man.'

It looks like things were arranged and a re-issue of the 45 should happen real soon on a label called Mighty Mouth.

The cover shows the PA band, the Shaynes, and they are not even on it!

it's been a tradition in the universe of 60s punk comps for a while, nothing wrong about it.

That Teenage Shutdown news is really awesome! Hopefully many people will buy it so that Tim can keep on keeping on doing these...

The front cover pictures, colour combinations and fonts used for this comp are excelent. I'd take artwork like this over BFTG's corny zombies and undead cartoons anyday.

Boring cover...Major label look, with a band on the cover that isn't on the record, wrong info on the back, songs taken off other comps...Just some JOHNNY-CUM-LATELY lookin' ta get in!!! What's the point? :%: I'll take the ALL-KILLER no-filler BTTG zombie Lp's/cd's over this symbolism-over-substance release any day o' the week!!! Nuff said!!!;)

If a guy who puts out a comp can't even go out and spend the time to find at least one photo of a band (who's on the record) to slap on the cover, he has no business even releasing it in the first place. And there is something wrong with this. Go the extra mile ya bastids:mad:

Hey Frantic, I don't think you can talk when it comes to boring covers, inappropriate fonts and wacky colour combinations.....I'll give you 'correct information' on them though...

When I design a cover I find a cool photo of a cool band that is actually on the cd and add a title to it. I love how you build up these lame-ass boots with almost zero time involved and tear down cool releases that took years to compile...BLOW ME!!!!

Oh no, 'The WitchFinder General' is in town.

I've never 'built up' this compilation, on the contrary. I simply said in my opinion, the look and design of the cover appealed to my senses.
