Just got this message from a friend who noticed this posting for sale on Ebay. I've included her message with this post. Does anyone remember who made this comp? They may want to send this seller a message.
Paul, I can't find my log in information right now. Would you be willing to post something in the forum I came across on ebay? Someone from Canada I think put together the Ye-ye a go-go comp and distributed it for free many years ago. There's someone in the U.S. selling it on ebay for almost $17 a cd. Here's the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/YEYE-A-GO-GO-18-VA-Garage-Beat-Tracks-/280471125999?pt=Music_CDs&hash=item414d61bfef I was thinking of asking a question on the listing. Something like "Why are you selling & profitting from a compilation cd that was made & distributed for free?" What do you think? This always burns me up, it's so rotten!

Wasn't it "Ye-Ye Quebec"? I think he's still on here sometimes... And a mighty fine comp is was...

And the fact that he's got 3 available with 11 already sold tells me that he's just cranking out CD-R copies and raking in the money. I don't actually have this CD so I have no prove of it's origins (although I do remember it being discussed on the old forum) but he should really be reported to Ebay. I am also pretty sure I've seen other offerings from this dealer mojangles27.

Yes it's me who did the free comp originally. It's not the first time that it's been boot. I always write to the seller, but to no avail. And yes Frantic, the comp is sold as a cheap CDR with a bad copy of the cover. There's even someone in the UK who changed the name and the cover and sell it as a mp3 comp!
It's nice that see that some people still care :)

I've reported him as well. Takes about 5 seconds. Should be worth anyone's time. I mean, Spotify is full of boots, but selling a cd-r copy of a previous g45 freebie: it get's personal :sonny:
