Paul Messis

Hey folks.

My New Long-Play album 'Case Closed' is now out and available to purchase via...

www.paulmessis.bandcamp.com

The album comprises of 12 songs, featuring savage moody punkers and melancholy janglers throughout, plus a cool cover of The Five Bucks' No Use In Trying.

100 of the copies feature a limited hand-numbered and signed poster as seen above, plus a cool business card in keeping with 60s garage band lore.

Check it out and dig it.

Got the record Paul!

Thanks Reyes,

I will get it off in the post for you tomorrow, you've managed to get one of the poster and business card editions.

Mark, thanks also for ordering, your copy got sent out last week, you too got a poster and business card.

Paul

Paul, do any of the copies that 13 O'Clock Records is selling here in the states include the poster & business card?

Nope... only myself and State will be selling the poster, I'm almost out of mine, the blue posters are all gone, only the black one's remain, I have about 4 left.

Paul, thanks for the disc got it blasting on my new Hi Fi. Very cool loving it.

Milo says "too loud" for track 1. and "why's he sad" on track 2. :tiphat: knew you'd like the fact a 3 year old hears your pain.

love you. xx

Actually been too scared to use my Birthday player for a month now, it's been shelved out of reach in the original box thought I'd give Case Closed the honour.

Just received "Case closed" a few days ago, after a few spins I must admit this new LP is KILLER and you just have to love those screams of Paul's before a couple of guitar solos!! ;)

Thanks guys... glad you're digging it.

I'm not quite sure about the screams myself?? I just do it, cos I am mad as hell.

They just add to the song, perhaps it's me but I sense the performace in some tunes is "wilder" (I don't mean "better" , just wilder...) than it was in your previous album, don't know, but I detect some nuances to the existing "Paul Messis sound", which is pretty cool by the way...

yeah, you're spot on, the LP is kinda more wilder for sure, the songs and style will of course remain the same, mainly cos I have my own funny way of playing a guitar and I have certain traits in my song writing skills, which I know for sure many other bands today simply don't have, I guess all in all, it keeps me ahead of the pack, even though in reality ie record sales/popularity/notice etc etc, I'm way behind.... but I don't really care about all that sorta stuff anyway, so it's all cool.

I just watched the new Paul Messis video & ordered the new 7" (out today).

Dang, Paul - every time I listen to you, I'm amazed by your sound. I can't wait to add the new single to my collection!

thanks Down-n-out, did you order straight from 13 O Clock? or from me?? if it was from me, there may be a delay cos I have yet to receive the records yet myself.

I am glad you dig it... wish it could be said for more people, but many folks have zero idea what my music is about.... its part of the process I guess.

Apparently I am out of touch with current "trends" according to one review.

Whatever a lot of the hottest big moolah artistes of today are in touch with I'd try to stay away from, it probably doesn't involve actual musical equipment or developing skills! :sunny:

Hey Folks,

If any of you are into indept DIY styled punk, please check out a side-project I've been involved with and am releasing on my label, its out on Monday.

Stay cool.

Paul
Never heard of indept punk, but I have heard some inept punk. Unless of course you meant in depth punk which might be a whole new catagory of punk. hmm?

dyslexia strikes again.... inept, sorry frantic you got me.

Indepth punk , I wonder what that'd sound like?? probably like someone drowning surely??
