R. I. P. Leonard Nimoy dead at 83

The local College hipster radio station actually played his 60s
"Bilbo Baggins" track yesterday when they read the obit. Man,
did that thing stink...even by "Shatner" standards! Cheese-Whiz.

You obviously haven't heard Nimoy's 45 "I'd Love Making Love To You".
Fletcher's Castoria via a vinyl 45.
It gets worse.
I loved most of what Nimoy did and I love Golden Throats, but his singing was just bad without any entertaining factor to it. I wrote in an old catalog that his singing had the emotional range of Spock.
His worst offense was his cover of "Proud Mary" ' "Big wheel keep on toinin'; Proud Mary keep on Boinin'!"

"Highly Illogical" was the best. Groovy song and good tongue in cheek delivery.

And this cool picture I saw someone post on an FB group I'm in:

Yeah, I'd forgotten about 'Highly Illogical', my memory banks crashed after recollecting Len's version of 'If I had A Hammer'.

He covered a Blue Things tune on the LP "The Touch of Leonard Nimoy" - Now's the Time

Andy Fraser, bassist for the Blues Breakers and Free passed away at the age of 62. He was battling AIDS and Cancer. Wrote "All Right Now"
