One of my heroes has died at 77 years old. If all he ever recorded was Hang On Sloopy and Fever, he would go down as one of the greats! But he was on a few of my all-time fave albums. Edgar Winter Group They Only Come Out At Night and Shock Treatment. Then he put out two of the great rockin' power pop albums with his band Derringer. Lead off track Let Me In is as good as it gets. And Let's not forget Rock 'N Roll Hoochie Koo from his solo album. But his finest moment was his guitar solo on one of my top 10 songs ever...UNDER MY WHEELS offa Killer!!!Needless to say, it's gonna be an all week Rick Derringer rock out! And don't even get me started on that hair!
