HOLD YOUR HORSES!!

I will not misuse this fine forum for this kinda bullshit. So I'll just redirect you to my blog.
I just finished Boulders #1, don't know if you care but I love all old comps. It is a fetish of mine.

Currently working on The Chosen Few #1 (should I keep thee Wyld Maia-iacs?).

Hope you like. Oh, and feel free to ask me for specific favorite comps and I'll try to revamp them too!

boring. I'll take new legit comps from masters with liners any day over those old fossils.:sonny:

I'm a fan of those old comps, too. I think it's a good idea, although I'd prefer them on vinyl.
Just wondering why you chose Boulders #1. Unlike most other volumes this one sounds pretty good to me.

What absolutely would need a "recreation" is Pebbles and Highs in the Mid-Sixties. I think they are as classic as BFTG. They're patchier, true, but that "patchiness" on the other hand is a reflection of the wide range of garage/teenbeat sounds. And the selection still shows the great taste of its compiler.
BFTG has been reworked more than once, although the first issue already sounded ten times better than Pebbles. I'd lick everybody's shoes who would give Pebbles the same treatment. :p

I've got this sick fascination with the Boulders series. The hoarding compiler Dave Watzhisname, the songs in some kind of alphabetic order, the selection of tracks + the stinky quality of the vinyl..

Pebbles 1, 2 & 5 would be real cool to revamp, 7- 10, 16 & 17 too! And 21 & 22! But I think 1,2 & 5 will be done first.
I won't touch BFTG out of respect of my idol mr. Warren.
Attack Of The Jersey Teens & those kinda comps are in my sight - those forgotten ones.
HITMS might be boring when the track selections' sometimes are so-so, but I will revamp the best ones.. Texas? Ohio? Don't remember.

The L.A. volumes 1-4 of Highs In the Mid-Sixties are stellar! Ohio is cool, too. The South 1 and 2 are fantastic. One of my faves is Colorado.
Pebbles 10 would be a personal request of mine...
The original "Attack Of The Jersey Teens" sounds pretty decent, I think.

But new legit comps from masters with (boring & dry garage PhD) liners ain't got no SOUL!
I prefer the real deal. These rekkids not only have SOUL but a few ghosts too. Found these yesterday along with others in a ancient trailer in the dusty little Central Cali town of Dos Palos. I'll hopefully drop a killer bomb on you guys tomorrow....

Oh, "New England Teen Scene" Vol. 1 would be awesome!
I finally got a copy of Vol.2 just recently and it sounds much better.
I just fell in love with this tune here:

First and foremost, thank you Lee. Personally I think this is a great idea. These early comps were how I came to know and love many of these classics. To be able to hear them again in that context but in better sound is a real treat.
