I agree they’re releasing a lot of stuff I’ve never heard of before in a variety of musical styles. Recent releases have included the 8th Wonders of the World, Little Bits, Preachers, Groupies, Bushmen, Preachers and Vandals (among other garage releases). Those are all worth a purchase.I listened to the samples on site. Some interesting stuff, but probably not my cuppa. Not to derail the thread, but Sundazed seems to have been going' through changes over the past few years, expanding the scope of genres that they release. I definitely want to support their work, but I find it harder and harder to give them my money for the stuff they're releasing. That's just my own opinion, obviously. Are they under new management? I heard that Bob I. isn't involved any more. Anyone know who's steering the ship now?

The unreleased Royal Aircoach tracks were posted on 60sgarabands right?I agree they’re releasing a lot of stuff I’ve never heard of before in a variety of musical styles. Five of the Seven were. The other two must be recent finds or not considered good enough to share? I don’t know the answer to that...The unreleased Royal Aircoach tracks were posted on 60sgarabands right?
I agree with the above. Occasionally there are some releases that I end up buying, but mostly it's a pass. And that's fine. After all, Sundazed doesn't owe me anything and frankly, if they'd continued to release the quantity and caliber of product from the early 2000s then I might very well be broke by now.Irwin sold company several years ago. To me they just went downhill even further since then (especially in the artwork and CD packaging). Some of the "new" stuff they released is the stuff Irwin purchased or owned years before that but was reluctant to release for some reason. Now if they can finally release that 13th Floor Elevators Fresno gig they hoard for 20 years then....
I had no idea Bob Irwin sold Sundazed until I read it on this forum. If it was public knowledge at all, I somehow missed the announcement.I agree with the above. But I'm still wondering who is running it these days. Mr. Irwin was a very vocal advocate of the label and the styles of music they released. This is only speculation, but it seems like the current owners are keeping quiet to continue the illusion that the old guard is still at the helm. Or maybe it's common knowledge who is running it and I'm just ignorant.
Thanks for the tip, Mike. I checked it out.Bob sold Sundazed a few years ago. He is retired now. A friend sent me a copy of a post he made on facebook recently that addressed what transpired with Sundazed since people were asking about the change in direction of the label. The new owner is not identified but I believe they also operate other labels. Bob believes Sundazed is in good hands and needs to evolve for a successful future.
