Sounds like Sky

The Sands is an obvious one and therefore must be the Seeds incognito there has got to be more? The Fire Escape album has the players ever been solved?

Didn't that obscure the Doors band do the same thing with the letter configuration - having the D's and S's reversed and the double vowel thing! Shame about the baritone vocals because they could have been a good Seeds tribute band.

God it's driving me nuts...there's an album by a band from the Carolinas or Virginia maybe, used to have it, maybe a little later like 68-70, it definitely has some Sky-alike vocals on some songs....anybody?

Sorry, about that. "Cackalack" is slang for "Carolina" as in North Carolina, where I'm posting from! Certainly no Texas level scene here, but some respectable entries into the garage/psych pantheon came outta the Old North State.
Good description of the LP. Eastern NC was/is a little behind the curve which probably explains the band sounding more '67 than '69.
On the topic of NC, the great recent reissue of The Horde acetate has given me some kicks. No Justice-level romps on this one, these Duke kids were definitely with the times ala their covers of Love and the Blues Project.
