Sounds of the Woodstock Age

Back in 1972 (I was eight years old) I almost made the mistake of buying "The Beatles Song Book." Luckily, my mother was in the store and explained that it wasn't the Beatles. I was eight and so I'm excusing myself on this one.

I could almost forgive some younger person for mistaking "sounds of the Woodstock age" but there's no excuse for someone mistaking this LP for something it isn't.

I've got some of these types of records. I knew what they were when I bought them, but they only cost 50c-$1 from charity shops. The most recent one I picked up was Hot Hits 5 from 1971. For me, the cheesy cover is funny and the version of Brown Sugar is actually pretty good. I might play it tonight!

I'd love to hear their take on Double Barrel.
