STB Flavored FLACS

I have discovered a formula far more potent than HYPE. It does not use nanodiamonds at all. I just received the ingredients today. Just a tiny amount on two connections was enough for me to know that this is something incredibly special. Blows away Highly Doped NDs by a considerable margin, and it's a lot cheaper (although still expensive). I only received one gram of the new active substance.

This new mixture will be reserved for FLACs only. I'm worn out from sending free samples, only to immediately discover something better every time.

No-one knows about this stuff. It has never been used on audio before. It costs about US$200 per gram. That's a lot better than HBDND's, which cost more than that for 1/20th of a gram. So the new ingredient is about 25 times cheaper. And 10 times better. And completely non-toxic and 100% legal thank god.

Yesterday I received a new A/D converter to replace the 10 year old modified unit I have been using until its recent untimely death. I set it up and did a few test transfers. Thisngs are a lot tidier and well organized now, so it will be a lot easier to do the FLACs from now on. Here's na photo of the FLAC transfer system as it is today. The new converter is on the bottom shelf at the left, on top of the Moon phono pre-amp. It is a Black Lion Revolution 2x2. I think it sounds great, but it will be even better after I apply copious quantities of HYPE internally.

Almost looks "normal", Mark

I have applied the new Component "X" to about 12 connections. It is absolutely insane, leaves HYPE in the dust, but I have not tried actually adding it to the HYPE formula yet. Maybe a combo will be beneficial, as it has been on other occasions. Component "X" has transformed the sound to a level of reality that is hard to describe. But it is a major new level, easily distinguishable from all other levels because of it's incredible realism. It lets you hear the exact mix as if you were in the recording studio. All overdubs and track bounces for example are totally revealed, to an alarming degree. Because you can hear the electronics of the recorder coloring the tracks which were bounced. Each instrument and vocal is separate, again to an alarming degree.

There is also Component "PX", which is related to Component "X". However Component "PX" is called "PX" because it is a Poison version of X, and suspected to be carcinogenic in powder form. I have made a tiny batch of "PX" mixture for my own use, and it is even stronger than Component "X". I only used it on 6 connection points. It will only be used for FLACs, obviously I will never supply Component "PX" to anyone. On the other hand, if it was mixed into epoxy resin, it could be painted onto internal connections and it would be safe when the resin hardened.

Does that black Transponder on the immediate right have anything to do with the Fly above the Laptop.

Ha! The transponder is a Martin Logan CLX electrostatic speaker. The "fly" is one of those tiny Synergistic Research wall treatment discs. They do have a beneficial effect but they are kind of redundant now with all the home-made treatments I'm using.

I performed large scale tests with Component "X" and Component "PX" last night. I found that although "PX" is more powerful, it is not better. It really sharpens the sound in an un-natural way, unlike any previous formulas. It's almost as if it shreds the sound into tiny metallic shards. That's an exaggeration, but in my imagination that's what I felt I was hearing. On the other hand, Component "X" has a gentler and balaced effect, consistent with the other formulas I have used in the past, but more powerful.

So I won't be using PX again, which is good because it was never going to be usable in any case due to its toxicity. The only pity is, it was much cheaper than Component "X".

Since it is now not part of the AHF (Advanced HYPE Formula), I can reveal that Component PX is HBNDCNT (Highly Boron Nitride Doped Carbon NanoTubes).

Here's an example of a HYPE transfer for bunker86. I'm working through the alphabet :icon_rolleyes:. I'm considering the option of saving a heap of time by uploading the files un-edited. Someone else might want to do the editing. That would involve -

click removal preferably mostly by hand. This is where you need Izotope, because the Izotope Interpolate function is essential.
trimming the start and end, with fade out
choosing the best channel and reduction to mono
Saving the file as FLAC
Uploading to server

It's a lot of work, and it has to be done to perfection.

I take it that this Aardvarks track is the first Black Lion transfer? How does it compare with the expired ADC?

You can train me to use Izotope if you like - just throw me the occasional banana to keep me motivated.
