Surprise, surprise - idle chatter about TBM

James Bond and the Agents did not come from Sand Springs - a suburb of Tulsa (has a flag in TBM) , Sand Springs was the place of recording
not the home of the band. They came from the city of Tulsa.

Just something I ran into. Oncomers on Gateway dates as far back as 1963.

"The Oncomers - New recording artists for Gateway Recording Co. will appear for a teenage dance at the Slovak Club, Donora, this Friday at 8 p.m. The group's new record "Every Day Now" has been receiving considerable air play on Pittsburgh radio stations and is expected to break out nationally"

TROJANS OF EVOL

Lack location in TBM, but if it hasn't been revealed elsewhere since; these kids were
students at Andrean High School, Merrillville Indiana. Recorded Through The Night / Why Girl
when they still attended in 1967.

I have many more dates/location corrections but I think that there's no really interest in these here.
If a band came from Nowheretown rather than Chickenville might be of importance for about four persons.
I really look forward to a web version of TBM, with possibilities to send in corrections automatically

Keep posting things you come across here. I check often and make notes accordingly.
I ask that you include the source of your findings (direct contact, web source, newsclipping, etc) so that I can archive it.
I am planning to incorporate source info in the TBM on-line listings so that dorks and obsessive-types can be informed prior to contacting me to point out "errors".
It will save me time as well.

Personally, I collect the classic "Chickenville sound" 45s...

For the update record:
"I'm Crying" by the Golden Grass is not the Animals song.

BTW it should've been rewarded with an EIGHT (not four) in my book.

OK, I'm continuing for the four ppl who care.
Animated Sounds came from Wenonah not Wenorah (non existant) - label print error.

Footnote
I gather all my info from firsthand source info, be it from band members, relatives or newspaper clips.
However, there's still not a 100% guarantee of correctness. I think newsclips are the most reliable source.
Even your sibling can have a memory loss.

In my experience, newspaper articles are only 50% accurate, hit-or-miss. They have not proven to be accurate as a stand-alone source.
