Surprise, surprise - idle chatter about TBM

Hustlers on Orlyn are found. It's safe to put a Chicago locale on them because the kids came
from various places in Cook County. The disc was recorded in 67 as noted in TBM.
Honcho Noel Rivera is buskin' in his spare time today.

Great! I think they are the last of the "good" Orlyn label groups that have not been documented.
I haven't been able to locate the Sound Investment or His Majesty's Service

Do you think that the Pastels from Houston (of 'Weird Sound' fame on Push label) are the same group as Charlie Romans & The Pastels who had a regional hit on Hickory with 'Come Back Home'. That's what the compilation Houston Hallucinations says but it's not clear elsewhere.
Thanks !

Continentals lasted from 1964-1971. I was the band's lead singer. I appreciate the continued interest in the music and the records. I'll be glad to answer any questions anyone has.

Hello and welcome !
If you are the lead singer of the Continentals from Abilene, I have many questions, indeed:
1) how the band was formed and who were the members of the group?
2) where did the group play (do you have memories of gigs in particular)?
3) did the group have a manager?
4) can you tell us the story behind the recordings of your 45's? (for example where the strange sounds at the beginning and at the end of 'Take Me' came from?)
5) did the records have any success at the time?
6) what did the group do after the recordings?
7) why did you broke up?
8) do you have pictures of the band that you could send to us?

Many thanks if you could answer at least a few of my numerous questions !

I like the piece of equipment in the middle lads shirt pocket. The skinny Ties bring back memories of Junior High School in the 60's for me. (is that a Windsor Knot)

Random spell fault found will renaming letter "P" shots:

PHANTOMS on Flash: Gonna Be Nice Tonight (NOT "Gonna Be Mine Tonight" as on TBM p.188)

Only found one? P must be a very accurate letter. Here are several I found looking at "M", and I only looked on the first page. Admittedly they may have been corrected in BTBM, but I didn't have that on hand to check. [corrections in square brackets]
