SWEDEN - The G45 Treatment

My understanding is that the Wizards were Swedish but more popular in Norway. And their masterpiece was a Norway only issue. I pursued this for ages, and payed quite a premium to procure a copy back in the late 80's / early 90'. $800.00 approx. as memory serves.... A bargain!

I stand to be corrected, as this comment is essentially based on the WORSHIP level of appreciation that I hold "See You Tonight" in.

As an aside, my personal investigation re: Wizards was triggered by their appearance an a "Power Pop" top 20 listing in the classic Bomp issue.

A TOP 5 Scandinavian release for me. ***** perfection.

Easiest task this week. They came from Narvik in norway. Headed to Sweden and put out all their 6 45s in sweden. Hope it helps

Should have consulted the power pop beat Necronomicon prior to posting. Seasoned contemporary scans to follow. Might be of interest to Beatstalkers enthusiasts, haberdasherially speaking, that is. BEWARE!!!

Group One sticks out as the odd and rare one in this bunch, you have any history on that record and where they're from?
I'm completely oblivious in this case . . . Peter "Träskmannen" B maybe?

OK, not wishing to keep the hordes of Wizards enthusiasts yearning to know more in-humanely tethered in suspense, here's whats watt that now we got: circa mid '66, natch...View attachment 2657View attachment 2658
As regards the seeming 5th Wizard: Swampy to the rescue???

I can confirm that they are from Narvik in Norway, and that has nothing to do with being a local teenage modster together with Peter Bergman in the mid 80's - in the town where the Nobel Price was founded. Been to Narvik multiple times and it's a hard fact that they're from there.

Yeah, that Group One 45:boggle:...... Been looking for it forever, I Believe they´re from Dalarna somewhere. I was offered a hammered copy years back but it was unplayable so I passed. But you already had it Mark, right? As you put it on that (fantastic!!!) unwaxed comp you shared with us?
